Hi, I can't pinpoint changes in my daily life, but gradually over time my life has changed dramatically. I'm still changing the way I see things, how I experience and appreciate things. I have a new outlook and developed a fresh understanding of what really matters. As most people are, I'm a work in progress and that butterfly experience was a highlight on my journey.

Can I ask how it has changed your views in your daily life since then.... for I am sure it has.....for a moments experience like that lasts forever within......

I thought that I'd share an amazing experience that happened to me a few years ago.

I was standing in the shade watching my son's class have their swimming lesson. My mind was wandering, I was bored and there was no one around to talk to, I was basically zoned out. Anyway, I was brought back to reality by a butterfly flying extremely close to my face, I dare not move or breathe as I wanted this moment to last, after all how often do we get to see a butterfly fluttering so close around our faces?

It seemed as though it was looking for something, moving to different areas of my face – Then, an AMAZING thing happened, it landed on my closed lips!!!!! I could feel its tiny, delicate ‘feet’ on both my top and bottom lips. (I can still feel it now as I’m remembering :) ) I held my breath, as I didn’t want to startle it with a sudden gust of air out of my nose!!! Little by Little I gradually began to exhale, my breathing was very slow and shallow, I wanted the butterfly to stay for as long as it needed to. I didn’t want this experience to end.

That moment seemed to last forever – just me with the butterfly sitting peacefully on my mouth. What an experience. I was touched, I felt special and I felt loved!!

It began to move, its little feet stirring slightly, I knew it was going to take off – I tried to will it to stay – just a little longer – but of course it moved on.

That was my very special Butterfly Kiss!!!

I looked around to see if anyone had witnessed my experience. The only other person was about 20 metres away toward the other end of the pool. I wanted to yell “DID YOU SEE THAT!!” But of course I didn’t. It is only now I realise, as I remember this, for that moment in time I didn’t hear the kids yelling and splashing in the pool, I didn’t hear the teacher giving instructions. Time stood still and the only things that existed were the butterfly and I.

I was truly in the moment, in the now.

I feel blessed.

I agree...it just is to busy butterfiing..if that is a word..well I suppose it is now because I just made it up..... ahahah :))

I have watched them many times and once I asked where are they going? My instant response was :"only you ask where you are going" it is just here BEING what it is.... How it took a different view once I observed it from that place......

Since then I have stopped asking where am I going.... and WOW what an adventure and freeing experience that has been for me.... I am where I am!!!!

Here is to the beginnging of a brabble of butterflies living life supported and in oneness with the very intelligence that created it and it IS..... I think that applies to us also...... HUM!!!!

Can a butterfly know it is a butterfly at all? What bliss! Never knowing what you are here for and simply "experiencing" without consciousness! The joy of ignorance - no pre-set limits, no pre-programming to chip away at. I want to be that butterfly NOW!!!
