I had to start writing about this today, after all this site is very much based around the written word, as are many other sites and much in our world. Anyways, the questsion popped up in my mind and thought I'd debate it between me, myself and I!!!
So, mostly my answer would have to be "yes"! The written word is the true window to the soul, because it is all our inner stuff pouring out - whether it be dark or light, fantasy or fiction or whatever! It's a release from our very inner self. Dependant upon the interpreter's view, it is definitely a window. The "interpreter" is open then to explore their own soul as he/she/it interprets - follow?
Example:
"I am alive and thankful"
If one is in a disempowered state of mind, one might then read this in a totally different light to someone who is in a more empowered state of mind. The same applies to senses of humour. One might read something meant to be humourous and might see interpret it as sarcastic or judge it in some way that the poor writer of the joke never intended for it to be read as. Follow?
Yep, I think that wraps it up for now.
I will continue...
